Candice Christiansen is an internationally recognized expert in the field of intimacy disorders, sexual and relational recovery. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Supervisor (CSAT-S), she provides global consultation, training, sex specific mental health evaluations and expert testimony on a variety of client populations, evaluation situations, and legal cases including those with complex trauma, intimacy disorders (sexual and relationship addiction as well as sexual/intimacy anorexia), Autism Spectrum, various brain diseases, paraphilias, dissociative disorders, combat PTSD, OCD. She offers a wealth of knowledge to clinicians, CSAT-candidates and CSATs with whom she has the pleasure of consulting.

For CSAT-candidates from the IITAP website regarding total hours of consultation needed for certification:

ASAT and CSAT candidates are required to work with an approved CSAT supervisor and must complete a total of 30 hours of supervision:

  • Eight hours must be completed prior to the start of module 3;

  • Seven additional hours are required prior to the start of module 4;

  • And the final 15 hours must be completed prior to certification.

PSAP candidates will have access to PSAP supervisors for support and guidance, however, there is not a supervision requirement for this certification.
