The book is the map. Namasté Is the Journey.

From the pages of "Love, Sex, and Autism" to the heart of your healing.

If you’ve found your way here, you may already know that the "standard" rules for love and recovery weren’t written for brains like yours. Whether you are a long-time reader of Love, Sex, and Autism: The Radical Truth about Intimacy and Neurodifference, or you’re just beginning to explore how your neurotype impacts your relationships, you are in the right place.

You don’t have to translate your experience for us. We already speak your language.

Your Roadmap to Radical Intimacy

In her book, “Love, Sex, and Autism”, Candice Christiansen weaves in the concepts used in IFS and IFIO therapy as she shares vignettes and offers resources to adults and couples navigating neurodiffernet relationships.

We don’t just talk about neuro-affirmative care; we practice it. At Namasté Center for Healing, we take the "Radical Truths" from the book and turn them into a lived reality for you and your partner.

  • If you are healing from betrayal: We help you navigate the "Justice Sensitivity" and sensory overload that often accompanies trauma in ADHD and Autistic individuals. We provide support for the 'looping' or ruminative thoughts that occur as your brain tries to solve the logic puzzle of the betrayal, helping you move from a state of hyper-vigilance back into feeling sense of self trust an internal state of grounding. We also address the unique 'gaslighting' that autistic people often face, helping you rebuild trust in your own pattern recognition and reclaiming your narrative after it has been destabilized by another's actions.

  • If you are the autistic person that has caused the betrayal: We help you understand the cognitive 'why' behind your actions—such as the role of emotional and social burnout, transactional connections, unpredictability, anxiety, or executive function challenges—while providing a framework for taking authentic accountability. We help you understand the gap between your intentions and your impact, guiding you through the alexithymia and shame that can make it difficult to process the harm caused and engage in meaningful repair. we help you understand the patterns of avoidance or masking that led to the breach of trust, and give you the tools to build a life where your external actions finally align with your internal values.

  • If you are struggling with intimacy: We move past neuro-normative "shoulds" to help you discover an emotional and sexual language that honors your neurotype and nervous system. We explore the intersections of sensory profiles and desire, helping you navigate 'sensory gating' or touch-aversion without shame. By identifying the 'Protector' parts that may shut down during vulnerability, we help you and your partner build a connection based on authentic consent and co-regulation rather than performance."

  • If you are recovering from Intimate Partner Violence: We provide a sanctuary where your boundaries are sacred and your autonomy is reclaimed. Because neurodifferent individuals are often conditioned to ignore their own "alarm systems" in order to fit in, we focus on strengthening your intuition—the vital ability to feel and trust your own gut instincts. We help you untangle the "compliance training" of your past from your true self, ensuring that your path to healing is self-directed, sensory-safe, and deeply affirming of your lived experience.
